What is difference between universe and dimension?

A dimension, in the mathematical term that is used on this wiki, refers to the spatial and temporal dimensions of length, width, height and time.

A universe refers to, surprise, a universe. Most universes in normal fiction have the 4 dimensions I stated. Depending on if they want to get fancy, they might have more.

Marvel Comics tends to use the term for a universe with extremely different laws of nature/physics/magic, that may or may not have more spatail dimensions than our own as well.
