What happens after the battle

I would like to know what happens after an SBA battle is over. Do the winners stay where they are? Do they go back to their world? What about losers through means other than death do they stay how and where they are? what about incons? I am asking this because of Mario's fate manipulation as I don't believe he has away back to the mushroom kingdom to rescue peach from central park as well other similar powers.

I don't think there's a set ending, everyone can pretty much imagine the aftermath of the battle.
