Depends entirely on the context of these statements.

It really depends on the context. If it is a casual Twitter comment responding to a feat-hungry fan, we don't do that. If it is a serious sit-down that explains something about the verse, we may be able to accept it. WoG is a touch-and-go situation considering the absurdity some WoG statements bring in (High 1-A Godzilla, Low 2-C Mundus/Dante, etc)
