So I did some research and found that volcanoes average out at around 20+ Megatons of TNT.

Does the 20+ Megatons happen when the lava comes out of the volcano, or when it starts rising?

Yeah, i've needed this now, Is this based off of when a volcano erupts, or just the energy it holds?

Its based off of the total energy released from the initial eruption, we use Mount St. Helens as a baseline

If i recall my geography correctly, there are different sorts of volcanoes though (Shield, composite etc.), and different eruptions (explosive, phreatic).

So yeah, the Mt Helens back in 1980 would be a decent scale for my thing, since that was explosive

I forgot I even asked this question.

How on earth did you guys find it just 30 minutes ago?

I was looking for info on volcano eruptions after finally finding more Inazuma Eleven game feats and statements.

Boots that can bust planets but cant bust a goal net still

Looking at Google though, it says that only 7 Megatons was in the direct blast. Thats still City level, albeit only slightly, so i think 7 Megatons in a quick blast, but 20 Megatons in an overall eruption?

Brr, this statement i got is probably only accounting for the 'power' of a volcano, rather than its heat, and its only a comparison since they dont use an actual volcano rip
