Verses you liked but hate now

I used to like Naruto a lot more than I do now. Then, I sat down, analyzed the writing, and found there were several major issues with it. For starters, Naruto preaches hard work and determination even though he not only was born with a Bijuu inside of him, but is also the reincarnation of Ashura. Sasuke practically plot armored his way up to the War Arc (imo he should have died against Deidara, mans was in checkmate there). The War Arc itself was a mess, with stuff like Kaguya's appearance having little to no foreshadowing and Black Zetsu essentially writing all of Naruto history being a thing. A lot of the female characters really have no goals or motivation aside from crushes on male characters (i.e. Sakura and Hinata), and the ones that don't essentially just do stuff for whatever reason (or don't, like how Konan's potential in the story was reduced to a paper kamikaze against Obito, who didn't even die because of it), and we get practically no insights on their motivations in those areas (I will admit that Boruto has done better with this, though).

I also liked Bleach more, until you realize that a lot of the stuff in it is pretty formulaic, and that Ichigo seems to magically get stronger after losing against someone once because the plot demands it. Also, Yhwach losing felt like a plot thing that happened, you know?

Used to like the MCU more, but Kevin Feige essentially said they had no "whiteboard" to keep track of all of their ideas, so things could end up becoming mangled, confusing, contradicting messes (much like the actual comics, both Marvel and DC) in the future.

For when plot manipulation for Ichigo and Naruto?

Y-Yes it was Sarcasm. (Why else would I like your comment lmao?)

I don't actually believe someone hates women because the author doesn't know how to write them.

I was just trying to make fun of Naruto fans that try and defend the characterisation of women to no end and will actually claim sexism due to not being able to handle the criticism.

I kind of figured, but wanted to be sure. But yeah, some Naruto fans pick any and every hill to die on.

I also don't like Pokémon as much, and it's for one main reason: they're lazy, but only when they want to be. The new mini-series Pokémon Evolutions has its first episode out on YouTube and the animation looks PHENOMENAL! However, they could put that together, but give us animation for the official Pokémon anime that really could never (with the possible exception of XY and XYZ) compete with it? And the tree textures in Sword and Shield, or Sword and Shield as a whole. The whole thing felt... lazy. However, they could turn up and give us new battle animations and even new game mechanics for the new Arceus game and so forth.

I'm aware there are budgets I have no knowledge of and things of the sort, but seriously, even with a lesser budget or fewer resources dedicated to a project, is it really that hard to keep the same energy even with the "cheaper" stuff?

i agree that they're lazy as heck but i kinda like the series. I just watch it as sth that can help me calm down, have a rest. I don't care as much about seeing crazy animations when i can just see two kids vibin with some cute pokemon. Lately anime is either edgy as heck, romantic, or overly sweet, yet pokemon somehow evades that and becomes just this one show you can watch when tired on a friday. I do hope they could put in more effort, though when they animate big battles they do make some serious animations, take ash vs kukui as an example.

anyways
