Venom's AP on the profile is 2-A to Low 1-C, and IIRC Marvel Low 1-C's are 6-D so he's got the AP advantage
Edit: I noticed you said range and not AP so nvm, but still I'm pretty sure that since Venom is a higher dimension into Low 1-C above Shadow then I'm pretty sure range in that case is irrelevant
