Simple, two-step pixelscaling yields 7 kilometres for Konoha's diameter at least.

Going to point out that this downgrade upgrades the characters.

The Hokage Monument's height increases to 245 meters with this scaling, which leads to Naruto's Bijuudama getting an upgrade

Here are my alternatives with new estimates.

I scaled the size of Konoha with two quick steps, nothing else. I also want bystanders to take into account that 30m is the lowest the Kage faces have ever been portrayed at, so it is the safest estimate, in line with the other estimates being thrown around.

You also measured Hashirama's head to the top/base of his neck, which would never be visible in an aerial view.

Proportions between mouth and chin (Shot 1 - Pain's Assault)

• 37 / 5 = 7.4x

Proportions between mouth and chin (Shot 2 - Edo Tensei arc)

• 415 / 100 = 4.15x

Which suggests the chin isn't obscured, the faces are just inconsistent in size

Regardless, 30m is the smallest Hashirama's face has been ever portrayed at, and it has several shots where it is more than 100m high. So 30m should be the safest estimate.

If you scale it to the Hokage Building whenever they both appear in wideshots, you can get over 100m

I checked both of your blog posts regarding the size of Konoha.

And you seem to both have the same result, which is 3.8KM for the Villages radius.

What is the discrepancy?

And some of the scans he used in his blog actually go against the 3.8km estimate.

The first wideshot he posted. If you scale the crater off of the Hokage Monument (245m) you get 7km for the crater's width.

Its neither simply x2 the result, nor is it assuming that the village suddenly stops at the Hokage heads. Its inbetween using the little wall at a reference point.

That should be good for scaling an accurate size, since we still use the easy 2 page scaling method.

We could technically make it smaller if we assume the Hokage heads are the absolue northern end of the village, but there are farmers land and plantages above it so I just included it.

I'm not sure if that's accurate, since the walls are pretty irregular in the shot and we know that the walls in the right portion of the aeral run further back than what you scaled.

Kishimoto can't use a circle tool, or so it seems.

Via angsizing:

All three of these scans suggest that the distance between the walls and the center of the crater is in the 4km range (assuming the wall is 120m tall via scaling from the Konoha wideshot)

Which'd make Konoha roughly between 7 and 8 kilometres, which is consistent with it being 7.6 kilometres wide and not with a mere 3 kilometers.

Using the aerial shot of the village with the hokage heads as reference point and the wall at the righter edge is more suited to find the size, since all is is present in one big panel. Whats speaking against it?

The weird thing is, Konoha's borders don't include the Forest of Death, so the upper portion isn't accurate but the lower one seems to be.

In your image the circle goes way beyond the wall tho, its kind of the opposite of mine, which drafted too short.
