Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

The Casino Scene was good, but it could have been better served in context of The Clone Wars series, Cut Lawquane, a clone deserter, while in the show we know that he deserted because he ran out of fear for his own survival and felt too ashamed to continue being a soldier, perhaps we also say because in the time between his desertion and meeting Suu that he ended up seeing the more darker side of the Clone Wars with players working for both the Republic and Separatists for monetary gain and building things like casino cities, and they wish for the war to continue on to keep rolling in that cash, like what's shown in The Last Jedi, and that enforced Cut's decision to desert and eventually become a family man.

You know, it's not really my position to argue against the use of a word if I'm not part of the group the word could affect, so if our Asian community members are ok with it, I suppose it's fine
Hi, Chinese user here. While I definitely don't exactly like the usage of the term, if it's not being used as a slur then I suppose it's fine? I'd still rather it be banned than not though.

I think the main reason we can't move to other wikis isn't because of the amount of stuff we'd have to port over, but because FANDOM's holding the wiki and forum at gunpoint or whatever.
VSBW is/was one of the most visited wikis on Fandom so there is vested interest in keeping it.
Plenty of other wikis managed to migrate to places like wiki.gg however, and considering how wikis are built by its community, I believe it shouldn't be difficult to migrate albeit it'll be a long process.
This forum shouldn't be under Fandom's influence.

Arizona Blueberry white >>>>>>>>> Half and half arnold palmer

Arizona Green Tea is good but the southern brewed tea is so much better.

What is your impression on attractive Chinese characters like Litchi, Jam, Chun-Li, Shenhua, or Shampoo?

No one's said anything in here for a few days. And that really sucks because this is my favorite thread on the wiki. So I'm just gonna post something as a reminder it exists.

Albums I listened to recently and really liked
Hip-Hop: Escapism - SoulChef
Neo-Soul/R&B: Blood - Lianne La Havas (this and her self-titled are so good)
Jazz: Sun Ra & His Arkestra - Sleeping Beauty
Pop: Julia Holter - Have You In My Wilderness

I have lots more I listened to and recs for lots of genres so if you're wondering, just ask. Maybe I throw you the worst album of all time, maybe I offer up one of your favorites. The ones above are just some pretty underappreciated projects that I felt like sharing.

There are users in the wiki who make small changes to profiles all the time without CRTs.
It's because of the weird gray area of what constitutes a "minor edit" that doesn't need a CRT to be approved. It ranges from rephrasing sentences to adding new feats without changing tiers.
I'm pretty neutral to it, won't elaborate further. I just find it funny that correcting Kris Deltarune's gender had a CRT when I think it didn't need one.

Some people probably just err on the side of caution or just forget that said minor changes can occur. I for one would definitely just make a CRT if I wasn't sure, even if I was changing obviously incorrect information. Better safe than sorry.

Idk why we think bloodlusted means "immediately uses their strongest moves" & don't understand why we allow matches with it to be on profiles

I still wonder at times why we all exist the way we do (why we are in our specific bodies with our specific minds for example) and not exist in any other way, or on a broader scale why the world/universe exists the way it does and not in any other way?
Still hoping there's some definitive answer for every question any and every being could have eventually, though I also still hope there's a way for the world/universe (or every world assuming any other worlds exist beyond our own) to be completely good/positive for all that exists within it/them (and even all that doesn't exist within it/them, though that probably doesn't make sense).

Welp I still have utopian dreams/ideas/wishes/etc, but even if they are genuinely impossible I'd still want to hold onto hope that they can be realised/manifested just to keep being motivated to make existence better for all that exists (though then again, to be fair, that's probably only feasible for living beings realistically since we have no idea what constitutes as objectively good for the existence of non-living matter/stuff.)

So I have a guilty pleasure.

I love songs of this type (one, two). EDM is basically my drug but I have a unique fondness for stuff like this with either toxic relationship type songs or yandere stuff. Idk why but they often go so hard and the EDM is delicious. I need more. Anyone know more?
Not my niche if I'm honest, it's also much harder to find songs that have a certain mood rather than just matching an artist's vibe but I still do have a recommendation.

lexycat - heartstrings/dark blossom (heartstrings matches the vibe better, dark blossom is probably the better project).

anyways idk, the heartstrings one is a wee bit too breakcorey to me and I ain't a breakcore fan. I like EDM that goes hard but Breakcore isn't the right aesthetic for me.

Speaking of music, Lucy Bedroque (and Slayr, not sure if this is even a hot take) are easily the best in the underground rap scene

I haven't listened to Lucy Bedroque at all but rage in general just isn't my genre. The best of it sounds just "ok" to me. In rap the most important thing to me is always lyricism and rage seems to put that on the back burner. Not even just from a technical lyricism standpoint, but also from a poetic standpoint. It's much more production focused.

Competitive video games that are trying to say a serious story at the same time should just completely give up on trying to kill their characters. At best, the character will only be missing in action and will conveniently pop back up when the character(s) who "killed" them are about to achieve their goals, making their so-called death pointless. At worst, the character will be replaced by a successor/doppelganger in the next title, who play and look near identical to the said dead character, and the only difference being their name and personality, just for the next title after that to replace them with the original character who was now somehow magically revived.

Competitive games that only revise the meta based on the top 1% of the players need to stub their toe every time they make the wrong balance change. Think I've said this before.
