Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

I love Banjo, hell, I grew up with the duology, but at this point I think millenials should throw in the towel and accept nobody cares about the series anymore.

The true millennial character is GENO like no real person goes "yeah i want the obscure rpg character instead of waluigi or TOAD"
Why did you go for Banjo and Kazooie instead of Literally Who picks like Pyra/Mythra?
They kinda make sense to add even if idc about them.

Imo, one has to be careful with the other extreme. "Relevant in video game history" means more than having been popular in the last few years. Remember how Playstation All Stars ended up using mostly characters that were big names around the time of its release and it just ended up dating that game heavily as a relic of the PS3 era (granted it was mostly due to the studio being unable to get the rights to a lot of characters they wanted to include, but the outcome is still that one).

This become relevant again

Would be interesting to see how many franchise characters games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Multiversus could cram into them though

In the meantime, I'm still curious how far hacking/cheating/modding/exploiting players scale in games (especially sandbox and open-world games) considering the insanity that can be pulled off if there is enough creativity and determination (that being said, I don't condone said hacks/cheats/mods/exploits being used maliciously to harm other innocent people, I would rather see them being used as a tool to further expand and push the limits of gaming to give a broader/wider experience of gameplay for more people)

Time to post an actual (possibly/probably) unpopular opinion:
Hacks, cheats, mods, exploits, etc are cool, as long as everyone gets access to all of them and can competently use them (that way it levels the playing field, potentially broadens gaming experiences and/or makes games easier/more convenient, and hopefully reduces likelihood of anyone being taken advantage of or harmed since everyone has the same stuff therefore any griefing is theoretically mutually assured destruction since all parties have the same tools and stuff at their disposal)

only to make you leave sooner, link it

Reiner already answered my call

Anyways I am genuienly planning on leaving this site soon, but I can't get one thing applied from my older revision and i'll have to wait til someone actually bothers to reply...fml
Join the club buddy, I've had some revisions that keep me here I've been too lazy/busy to do for years.

They say a partner game is gonna be announced that's gonna spawn hype. Deltarune is likely, some say Silksong, it could be something else.
"They"?
You mean the rumour mill who's sources range from "Trust me" to "I made it up"?
No offense meant.

I should've gone to sleep instead.

Anyways, we've got

-Dragon quest 1 2 remakes which were already announced
-Buttload of atlus and square enix games
-New Rythm Heaven
-Metroid prime beyond or whatever
-New Tomodachi life
-Some new info on the Pokemon ZA game mechanics
-New system update where you can lend games and use digital cartridges on different devices

Overall: mid direct for me, but tomodachi life fans are happy. See y'all in 5-6 days

At the time I'm typing this, there is about 100 minutes (1 hour & 40 minutes.) until the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct begins!

This direct was absolute cinema.
Butload of new Kirby content
Deltarune
Silksong
Oddisey-type Donkey Kong
Open world Mario kart
Yakuza 0 with online battle mode

I think we've reached levels of peak that shouldn't even be possible
The prices are...kinda steep...not that I care, I'll be waiting for pirates to plunder anyways
