I am a fan of gegege no kitaro and i ended up making the verse for it here.
A film came out in 2023 about the birth of the mc and it only became available to us around 2024. For reasons i keep to myself i didn't quite get to watch it and uh... I finally did.
Absolute. Cinema.
Kitaro as a whole is a series that is more of a kids-teens series with dark undertones. We go from wacky yokai steals people and makes them cold so Kitaro has to save them, to an episode where a boss that drove several of his workers to suicide gets dragged to hell by their spirits. It's kind of a weird see-saw of dark af and humorous.
Now the movie... It just says "screw it, we're making an adult movie, straight up" and they do, they made an incredibly dark, incredibly beautiful and incredibly tragic movie that gives background to the series and it's genuinely soooo freaking good. There were some minor issues here and there but overall they get overshadowed by the good parts with ease. 9/10.

Draw even if you hate it, draw even if you don't like it, draw even if you're indifferent towards it.
Drawing shouldn't be just about making something beautiful, it should also be a form of entertaining yourself. And maybe then, with enough training, you might draw something that thousands of people would love to see.

Here is an unpopular opinion and a rant: My aunt has an old laptop. Somehow it has less storage space than a phone, about 20 GB. That's insanely low.
I am thinking of buying her a new one for her work. Is there anything I should consider? Right now I am considering just buying her a laptop with 8 GB RAM, 100 GB storage or more and that's it.
Should it be a Mac? Windows is confusing for boomers since it doesn't work like an app. Mac works like phone apps, right? It tells you the download location of everything and how to uninstall it like an app, right?
Also, I might get her old laptop. Is there any use for it? I am thinking of deleting windows and installing Linux on it to test how Linux works away from my main computer. And maybe use the laptop to watch videos. Idk, what can you even do with 20 GB of storage?

MacOS is not as alienating to the older audience, as someone who relied on macs up until 2019 I can confirm it's easy to use and locating your files is a bit easier than windows.

Given your aunts old laptop only has 20 gigs of space. My best guess is that it can work as maybe as a small monitor, or something you can watch movies shows or anime on in bed?
Im wondering if you can upgrade the SSD entirely since with 20 gigs you're extremely restricted

If some programs only work on Windows, not on other OS. I'd have to drive to her house and manually give her tech support. That and help her delete unnecessary files. Boomers have a bad habit of not deleting anything. At all.

Some programs are just not on mac and Apple really hates when you install anything not from the app store

What apps are she using on her current laptop? Ask and you can see if they're available on the app store for macbooks

I think it's mostly zoom, gmail and apps for reading files. She should be using a computer but she's using a phone for those apps.
Also, something about boomers I noticed, is that they never delete their files, photos or organize them. My grandma destroyed her phone by downloading so many photos that it stopped working. My aunt also has unnecessary files to a lesser extent. I wonder if there's a way I could teach them to organize and delete more files? Or if I should just buy her a laptop with high storage space

I would say organise, but no deletion unless permission is given, stuff that might seem pointless to you may mean a lot to them, so better to consult with them about what they want and don't want

Thats true but at the same time my grandma, last time I checked, saved up every image someone sent her in whattsapp since whattsapp downloads images automatically, even images she didnt recognize

Worst thing about being part of a niche fandom is that when you search it up you'll always find some son of a gun who drew the weirdest, often gruesome art, usually fetish art of your favorite characters and it's often drawn with the skill of a child. Like it's the least expected place and you'll still find it. It's one thing to have r34 of everything, it's another to have straight up the most disgusting stuff ever.
