Undead Unluck Discussion Thread

Like they entered a white void, it's pretty clear they made space

The black void of space, not anything in it. Like making space-time for the void they were in
Doesn't mean anything for ap.

He’s more powerful than Galaxy because he’s explicitly stated to be the most powerful Uma of all.
Sun isn't an Uma so that doesn't make sense.

Guys Sun can be more powerful than Galaxy and not be Galaxy level. Galaxy himself isn't Galaxy level, his death creates everything within a Galaxy, without a power system or any feats, Sun just has good concept manipulation through creating Galaxy.

For Uma Galaxy, he would have to produce enough energy to make said galaxy though. And there is nothing that really says that it is purely haxs too. If he is the embodiment of a galaxy, he should also have the strength of one to.
Not how that works for galaxy level. And then everything points to haxs, Galaxy's creation of the galaxy happens through him exploding to spread everything a galaxy has, and being the embodiment of galaxy does not equal you have the strength of one.
Characters or objects that can create or destroy a galaxy when the space between celestial bodies is taken into account, not merely the matter encompassed by them.
All we see is that Galaxy, the idea of galaxies, creates everything that a galaxy entails. He does not create the massive space that a galaxy encompasses.

literally this is UNsense

Yeah if someone’s death creates a galaxy, that would still mean that their body had enough energy to do the feat.

Well whatever you guys wanna believe, won't be getting accepted here.

Sun isn't Country-Multi Cont. A weaker version of him could contain a Supernova.
Also, would that be large star or solar system? They say that this is the most powerful natural phenomenon in thr universe, so it should be like higher, right?

Going by what we see, it would've destroyed the planet, but the actual explosion wasn't all that big. Either Tozuka has a problem with making celestial bodies/phenomenon to size, or it's supposed to be smaller

I would say that it is smaller because Language imagined it, and It only imagined the power and not the size

I still think it's a point to bring up, because she directly said she imagined up a supernova. Iirc, there was no specifics surrounding it just containing the power and not the size of the explosion.

She still directly compared it to a legit supernova in terms of power. And she is one of the smartest characters in the series. I just think the mangaka wanted to condense the actual size to make it easier to draw.

It's a bit hard to think about it, supernovae could be smaller in the world of UU compared to ours, just as the sun is, but yeah that's probably it.

counterpoint:we also know that the sun spot is Andy, and Andy is obviosly not the size of a country.
I don't see how that's a counterpoint. Yeah, Andy ain't the size of the country, but it provides evidence that the sun is far from being as big as it is in our world.

That's the question, if you use the size of the earth with the sun to say that the sun is smaller, then we would have to argue that Andy is the size of a country because he looks big compared to the sun (being a sun spot).

Again, Andy being that visible is an odd visual, but with all the other pages and panels pointing to it, the sun is smaller than it is in our world.

It's not, you're just assuming it is, in fiction it's hard to show that the sun is bigger than the earth on a massive scale, because some verses will show the sun as if it's only 10 times bigger than our world and not 100 times bigger than our world, you are asking for a lot of realism when it is not necessary, the idea was conveyed.

It really isn't that hard. All you'd have to do is draw the earth as a speck compared to the sun. But that's not what's shown in UU, you can still see the earth visible right by the sun, not as a speck. And combined with the fact that the visuals are consistent in showing this, as well has how the sun is unique in UU, leads to it just being smaller compared to our world.

there is also many series that show earth not being a speck to the sun, but we still accept them has being the size of our sun, but we can't do that with UU?

Nobody here has mentioned any other series. And even then, do those series have similar mechanics to the sun in UU?

Soul Eater has a Sun that is a living entity and laughs like a maniac, and it is in earth atmosphere, but it is apparently the same size has the original sun except that it is a cartoon sun.

I’d rather just assume the Sun is the same size as ours. Nothing is explicitly stated to be smaller in comparison to our universe. Either way, the supernova feat should still be fine and The Heart scales to it.

it was just a example to show that sometimes in fiction, the sun is portrayed has smaller but it is still the same sun
Yes, that can be the case, but I don't think it is for UU with everything shown. One verse accepting that doesn't mean it's going to be the same for this verse.

It's obvious Undead Unlick follows IRL science. The Language fight proved that. The Sun shouldn't be any smaller than it would be in real life. Yes, the sun looks smaller when it crashes into earth but that visual is supposed to be impactful and make the reader feel something. So ofc the Author is going to take artistic liberties to convey that.

Also, Sun should reach Galaxy level easily because he destroyed it in previous loops. Viktor, someone who was there in all other loops expect for the 100th and 101th one, knew about the concept of days of the week. Days of the week only come forth when Uma Galaxy is present.
