In Shadow's story, Shadow stated that him and Emerl(without the power of the final egg) are equal, then Emerl said that he was only warmed up, then when Sonic came, Emerl said no holding back, and Emerl beat Sonic and Shadow

Knowing that in the first cutscene, Sonic need to team up with Emerl to beat Shadow who wasn't at full strenght because he didn't recovery from a injured

Knowing that Shadow's story is the last story before Emerl's story, between only one chat between Sonic and Emerl happened

Sonic > Ultimate Emerl > Emerl(7 emeralds Without final egg) > Sonic and Shadow > Shadow ~ Emerl (7 emeralds warmed up) > Sonic and Emerl(with anything) > Sonic > Shadow (Injured)

Something is wrong isn't it ? it's because he has too much power that he is very vulnerable, he was already destroying himself, he was keep saiying that he feel pain, and that he couldn't contain all the energy even Tails confirmed that Emerl was instable,he has absorbed too much energy and surpassed his limits,, so he was less performant, his punch wouldn't be as strong as they should be, even Eggman survive to a punch of Ultimate Emerl. And just give him enough damage he was destroy, technically it takes less than 30 seconds to Sonic to cause enough damage

so yeah with Sonic's speed and Emerl vulnerability, it was more easy than it looks. Even Eggman survive to a punch of Ultimate Emerl, you must know that Emerl is a pacifist, not Ultimate Emerl, because he switched with his Gizoid's personality, and turn into a robot who only want to destroy, so he would have any reason to hold back, knowing that Eggman anoying him

Bro, Sonic literaly right after Emerl """beat""" him that he was still weak, and he could improve right at the end, Sonic is show in Battle to be stronger than Shadow, by alot

Sonic is holding back most of the game

Emerl feeling pain wasn't because it was weak, it's the opposite of this, he had so much power that his system couldn't handle, heck, in game Emerl is even using all Ultimate skills, even if you didn't equip them

Unless you are arguing Emerl became 8-C because Eggman survives then it's a outlier for Eggman, plus Sonic beating him in 30 seconds is a fear for him

The reason is this, it's because he was too much powerful that he was become vulnerable. It's stated that Emerl surpassed his limit and became instable. He couldn't contain this energy, he said it, and he was in pain, so that made him vulnerable, and less performant. And Sonic didn't said he was weak, he just said that he need to work about his punch. And this is game mechanic the fight between Sonic and Ultimate Emerl, because you can't literally finish the fight in 30 seconds, and why Eggman being punch would be an outlier ?

Stop repeating yourself, Emerl surpassing his limits literaly contradicts he becoming weaker, he couldn't handle the power for a long time, being in pain doesn't mean you got weaker, only that you can't handle your power for long

He said his punches were weak, he is literaly the only character who said Emerl had more to learn

Emerl's moveset isn't a game mechanic with the context Emerl has been awakened

Because Eggman is only 8-C, unless you are unironicaly saying Emerl became 8-C
