Tsunami question

Would it be reasonable to assume a tsunami was destructive if it was not elaborate on further then that fact it happened and would it being listed as a seismic event make it reasonable to assume it was caused by an earthquake?
 
First one, yes. Tsunami will always be destructive.

As for second one... Most likely, yes.
