So the ability in question allows the character to create a set of armor that essentially creates an infinite space between anything external and his body.\

So I would assume this ability would include:

• Limited Spatial Manipulation
• Forcefield Creation
• Possibly Limited Invulnerability

But would it include anything else?

No, he has to activate it himself, and it's an infinite space in a finite set of armor. So it doesn't slow attacks to the point of them not hitting him, but rather just creates a spatial barrier across his whole body.
