"... And you're certain this will work?" Asked the Belmont, sitting on the dusty floor.
"I said I think it'll work!" Complained Chanel, sitting right beside him.
The two were sitting in a darkened candy store. It wasn't long ago that the two found each other, rushing inside the building after seeing a horrible, one-armed beast outside. They had lost track of how long they had been hiding here, but it felt like hours. The duo were crouched behind the counter, giving them a view of the streets outside while still obscuring them from the outside world. Between the two was a ouija board. The strange board was something that Chanel had woken up with. She wasn't about to complain, one of these had saved her life before.
"I'm going to try and summon the ghost of my dead boyfriend!" Chanel moped. "Maybe he can... I don't know, do something to get us out of this."
"But is contacting the undead really the best choice?" Asked Trevor. "Are you a... trained witch? Holy woman?"
Chanel gasped, turning to look at the Belmont with a look of shock.
"No!" She refuted. "I'm not a witch, I'm just... Just put your hand on the slidey-thingey!"
Rolling his eyes, the Belmont complied. Chanel's hands joined him.
"Dear spirits," Chanel began. "I need your help. This place is dark and horrible and there's this guy with with me who's all sweaty and stinky, and probably thinks his scar makes him hot, but really it just makes him look like a edgy psycho-"
The Belmont scowled, but bit his tongue. He had heard much worse.
"Chad!?" Chanel begged. "Chad, if you don't show up right now, I'm going to kill myself, find you in the spirit world, and kill you again."
Silence.
"... This is a waste of time." Muttered Trevor, standing up.
"Let's see you do better," Chanel snapped back. "At least I brought an idea to the table."
Trevor turned to the side, hoping to look outside. What met his gaze was a humanoid beast, its eyes glowing a mixture of blue and green. The creature was a tiger, but was standing on just two legs. Something about it seemed cold and lifeless, not unlike Dracula's own beasts. The only thing between them was the glass window of the candy store, and Trevor knew that wasn't reliable.
"Chanel...!" Trevor growled. "Don't get up. Don't move."
Chanel shot up, immediately disobeying Trevor's command.
"Uhm, since when do you- AAAAA!"
The tiger's fist punched through the window, shattering it to bits. Chanel took this opportunity to rush to the back room of the candy shop, shoving past Trevor as she screamed her head off. Trevor, meanwhile, grabbed his whip from his side. The tiger twitched as it stepped past the broken glass, looking at Trevor as if he were nothing but prey.
