Some potential notes:

• "able to take full control of a PC once his game disk is in" and "manipulates what goes on in the game to show the player what's going on in his world." doesn't sound like an intelligence feat. Given the nature of Sonic.EXE it seems less like a smart computer programmer and more a virus just naturally taking over your laptop.
• How effective are his powers in the 'real world' since most of the reality warping seems to take place in a computer?

How effective are his powers in the 'real world' since most of the reality warping seems to take place in a computer?

X's world is a dimension like ours, his "video game" is a portal to his world so what happens in the "game" happens in another dimension and not on the computer as such, although he can still take control of the computers where his game is installed because he is an expert hacker according to his biography.

If I remember correctly, the only thing he loses in our world is his regeneration.

Edit: I think he also loses his RW and the abilities that derive from this ability.

Based on the stories, some of his powers still work but are greatly hindered due to the reality "crushing" him. One of his goals is to make a permanent portal so he can fully manifest in the real reality permanently.
