According to this source, the Tsar Bomba was designed to yield 100 megatons due to a Uranium-238 tamper, but it was cut to 50 with a lead tamper to greatly reduce the fallout that would result from the detonation.
Although this obviously was never demonstrated in practice, could we at least add a "thereotically 7-A" in its AP rating due to the baseline for 7-A being 100 megatons and due to the fact it was originally designed with this yield in mind, but stuff happened and it resulted in the 50 megaton explosion we all know today?
