So I was having a debate with certain forum member (who is a BB fan), who I won't name out of respect, over if Arc could resist the Azure Grimoire and other BB weapons or not, spoilers we agreed to no, but for differing reasons, although on her profile she had resistance to conceptial weapons that she has experienced. She definitely can't resist Azure Grimoire in that regard but thinking of the Azure Grimoire and therefore the Black Beast as a conceptual weapon makes sense.
According to my reading the Black Beast is a weapon/being outside of reason. The concept of reason in the BB-verse is the absolute fundamental of the world. It consists of the four elements: fire, earth, water and wind and the Two Great Origins. If the Black Beast is so to be outside of this, it means that it is its own concept of itself. Not to mention that without the Black Beast there would be no socery let alone seithr which are also important concepts of the verse. And FYI, the Black Beast is a Kiln which is like a portal to the barrier so take that into consideration.
Feel free to bash these arguements in comments, I'm just hoping at least one of those comments is from my debatee.
