The Thing vs Jimmy Hopkins (0-7-0)

The Thing has come to terrorize Bullworth and has already assimilated a family of four and their pet dog, so Jimmy decides to stop it before it kills anyone else.

Fight is inside Bullworth Academy at nighttime, completely empty

Both will start 20 meters away

Jimmy knows to avoid contact with The Thing (keeping his distance from his opponent is already part of his standard tactics but I'll leave this here just in case)

I like this match just by how plainly weird it is.

Jimmy is stronger - significantly so in fact - than most forms of the Thing, and knowing how it functions is a great asset.

Is Bullworth empty, or is it filled with students? If empty on a direct confrontation, I'd bet on Jimmy in most scenarios by having great ranged options to keep the Thing at bay while blasting it with firecrackers and spuds. Heck, itching powder and stink bombs may be really incapacitating.

If Bullworth has students, though, I cannot see Jimmy winning this. It would be something far too great for him to handle, and he may be able to ward off some sneak attacks, but in a relatively short timespan I expect him to eventually be overwhelmed, particularly if the Thing bides its time and choose to attack when he is at his most vulnerable or after accumulating enough mass to be stronger than him.
