Akuma vs Shao Kan.
7-B forms used

After looking at their profiles, it seems that Shao Kahn can do everything, that Akuma can do, and more. The only thing Akuma has over Shao Kahn is intangibility.

How does Akuma's intangibility work? And when did he use it?

Note Shao is cocky and prone to taunting.
Akuma is far more serious.

Skill is something to discuss.

Shao is tens of thousands years old and uses three martial arts, while Akuma is around 50 and uses one martial art.

I looked at their moves and how they fight. Akuma's intangibility only works, when he is doing a specific move, so it's not that important. What's important is Raging Demon, not the soul destroying part, since that won't work on Kahn, but the hitting every weak spot and utterly destroying opponent's body part.

Due to their personalities, I think, that the fight would end this way: Shao, due to better hax/experience lands a good hit on Akuma, then taunts. This pisses Akuma off, he uses Raging Demon and destroys Shao Kahn.

So, I think, Akuma wins.

A lot of the stuff in Shao Kahn's profile isn't used in combat, though. He usually does that stuff to opponents that are either much weaker than him or subjugated to him in some ways.
His millenary skill is also questionable, he lost to Liu Kang, who's not an extra ancient being.
Akuma knows only one martials arts, but can contend with other genius fighters like Gen and Oro, with the latter knowing many different killing arts.
