So we all know that Solar Flares are dangerous yes, while outside the Planet's magnetic field which deflects all is not most of the solar radiation.

And potentially stronger ones which get through the field can cause power outages across large portions of the world.

But this:

This is just BS!

Unless someone can describe the theoretical/hypothetical science behind this. That would be great!!!

That said, without the electromagnet field around the earth, a solar flare emerging from the Sun would do just as much if not more damage.
