The Tyranids have found the Star Wars Galaxy after many years of searching for a new Galaxy to Devour and have the drop on them for a day before anyone realizes what's happening.

Speed Equalized and Palpatine is restricted unless it's a stomp without him.

Droid army (5 quintillion) < Galactic Empire (biggest armada in SW history). Numbers are pretty even, maybe higher than Tyranids.

If Palpatine is alive and constantly using Battle Meditation the Empire would easily win because there would be no narrative mechanism stopping Palpatine from summoning omnidirectional Force Storms and using weapons like the World Devastator, Sun Crusher and Star-Destroyers all the time to target the planets themselves.

If end of the novel C'baoth is participating instead of Palpatine the Empire would win as well in a hard-fought battle.

If this is just the Empire with no dark will behind them then they'd lose badly. After Palpatine's dark will diffused, The Empire got whooped by the Resistance back-to-back despite having 10 times their numbers and mass-destruction weapons.
