After having been a part of the cast of the quite underperforming Bounty Battle, Otus decided to take a shot at being a guest for another popular cast of battlers, the Brawl Stars, who just so happened to be looking for new additions to their cast. While waiting to be queued for the position, the young owl managed to catch the eye of a Brawl Stars veteran, and before he knew it, he was grabbed and thrown out the window of the queuing station and onto the currently empty battleground. Catching himself before he hit the ground with his Owl Cloak, his attacker landed on the ground behind him, and the leather jacket bound bird man had already pulled out a series of knives, and challenged Otus to hit him with his best shot. But who will win in this sudden battle between feathered foes? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Otus from Owlboy, and in the red corner, we have Crow from Brawl Stars.

  • This will be a battle to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
  • Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.
  • Neither character are allowed any outside help, aside from Otus' summonable allies.
  • This battle takes place on the Rockwall Brawl arena map, giving Crow the homefield advantage.
  • Speed is equalized.
With all this being said, let the debate begin!
  • Biker Crow: 2 (DaReaperMan, Peppersalt43)
  • Owlboy: 0
  • Inconclusive: 0

Crow is going down to tens of meters in range but that really doesn't matter here, Crow pelts Otus with sharp, poison feathers and calls it a day, and Otus has no counter to getting jumped on as well

If he can see it coming, Otus can reflect the projectiles with his Owl Cloak, which is not part of his body, and if he's being overwhelmed, he can zip away to another part of the battlefield with Twig.

I don't understand what getting jumped on means here. You mean like a sneak attack?

Crow is pretty good at dodging projectiles (he was never touched by Colts guns, Shelly's shotgun, or Poco's notes), and he can pretty easily pelt people with dozens of feathers in seconds, much as his gameplay would disagree.

I mean literally jumping, although a sneak attack is possible and in-character for Crow, and add that to the fact that Crow can just zip around across the battlefield due to pretty much everyone in Brawl Stars being a good jumper and can jump on the blocks or just sneak up behind Otus. Though the big jump Crow does for a super won't help with that cause he basically announces it.

Otus himself has fought against speedy characters as well, such as Dirk, and could either dodge roll, block with the Owl Cloak, or even have one of his friends like Geddy or Alphonse shoot them out of the sky for clearance, because that is something he would do as well.

Also, two sets of eyes will be watching at almost all times and especially with Geddy, a former soldier, and Alphonse, a robot pirate with hundreds of years of experience in battle, they can all keep an eye out when their opponent suddenly disappears from sight.

Also, if he gets hit by Twig's projectiles, then he may end up getting bound up as well.

Crow is very unlikely to be getting hit by a projecile if it ain't more impressive then a Shotgun, and Crow doesn't spend THAT much time in the air, at least not so much that he can't maneuver around

And by Shelly's Shotgun i mean Doomguy's super Shotgun because I can hardly find a difference other then Shelly's shots being bigger

Alphonse actually carries a shotgun, but it less fires a buckshot as it fires a full on explosion from the muzzle.

The drawback is the distance is not as good as either Geddy or Twig's attacks, but on the upside, he can remove a lot of the dried out tall grass around the arena that Crow would otherwise have used for cover.

True, Crow does like to use grass as cover, but a solid block of sandstone works just fine, even if Otus is capable of going through it, he is 2x stronger then El Primo who busts those with meteorites and the peoples elbow after all

You can't bump immediately after I bump, how dare.

I mean, we are using two unpopular verses for this fight so it's literally only the knowledgables that are interested lol

Unless we just spam everyone else and bug them into voting. Which tends to happen a lot.

That's usually the only way for unpopular verses to get votes. On the bright side, 2 or 3 votes is usually enough to start an FRA chain. Because of that...
