The Brick Fortress Tournament (2025) - 9-B Likely 9-A

Does 10 minute prep allow the character to see/observe/know more about their opponents or something?
It depends on the context and the rules of match. Generally, 10 minutes of prep time is very limited, but... it could still be useful depending on the character's abilities and resources.
If the character has access to data (like a computer or an information manipulation), they might be able to get quick info on the opponent. If they have potions, quick buffs, or fast-assembling gear, they could make last-minute upgrades. So yeah they can observe "more" if they have powers/abilities in their profiles to observe and depends on how good they are in their "respective verses" when it comes to making the best out of in such time frame.

Wait so they'll be preparing in the battlefield rather than anywhere else?

Yeah, because that's where the fight takes place, before the match start they'll get 10 minutes of prep time so
they'll just get more time to know about the location, it's surroundings etc.
