Except for that fact that it does exploit their weakness, as Annie was crying in a lot of pain after being blasted by one of his sonic screamsOh fathers scream isn't the same pitch as the weakness of supes.Otherwise he wouldnt be able to use it....
I mean, Supes aren't immune to the normal effects of strong soundsExcept for that fact that it does exploit their weakness, as Annie was crying in a lot of pain after being blasted by one of his sonic screams
This isn't a criticism of your point, but I honestly wonder who those reinforcements would be at this point because so many high-tier Supes have died, defected or been fired. You would think as the Leader of Vought, he can afford to send some actual heavy reinforcements
Kripke was to busy focusing on future spin offs and **** jokes to write a good conclusion. What was the point of Gen V then?
Exactly. Good episode.... if it was done earlier. The episode was good but felt like something that should have been done 3 episodes ago, not in the second to last episode…
I'm not getting "oh shit this is it" vibes at all here, more like "oh ig this will get crazy in like 4 episodes".
Also the gen V stuff felt like a spit in the face ngl.
"you're the chosen one with Homelander level powers"
"reports of my awesomeness were greatly exaggerated"
**** you??? What was the point of Gen V then?
Such a waste of potential. Ryan? Nonexistent. Marie? Basically said her entire spin off was just tripping. Butcher? Don't even get me started.
Yeah Episode 7 just screamed "budgeting and scheduling issues" with Marie and Jordan being morelike cameos than fully fleshed out characters that have existed in the same setting for years while the rest of Gen V is MiA (until episode 8 I guess?), a complete tonal whiplash to S4 where Sam and Cate didn't feel out of place but that's likely my own PoV. Also I like how Ryan and Zoe were clearly setup as young lovers or at the very least close friends that have bonded over losing their mom's due their mutually screwed up supe life, but nope!Such a waste of potential. Ryan? Nonexistent. Marie? Basically said her entire spin off was just tripping. Butcher? Don't even get me started.

Seems like a very common issue with many of these streaming exclusive shows, they hit gold and it gets milked to death with an inevitably rushed ending filled with plot holes, inconsistencies and/or CiSKripke confirmed that the finale won't be longer than usual and that it is the ending for all the plotlines in the show.
I wonder if, assuming they have some big final battle and Kimiko has the radiation powers, Homelander is going to straight up vaporise Kimiko before she can depower him.
Also, bring back Polarity.
Marie is just another victim of what happens when you forget to balance the story around the abilities, tools and resources of your characters. Between Marie's everything, Cate's psychic abilities and Annabeth's precognition with Gen V alongside Sage's intelligence, Kimiko's (implied) new nuke abilities and Butcher's/Annie's powers with The Boys, even V1 Homelander should be getting stomped right? (Ryan hates him, Solider Boy is back on ice, The Deep is in hiding, Ashley is just a figurehead leader and Oh Father is the only noteworthy supe left that Homelander values).I know Marie can't join the boys. She was OP, and was literally able to bring everyone killed by Homelander back to life.
But they really need to find a better reason. What do you mean she can't control her power? After Marie cured Cate and exploded Godolkin? That doesn't make sense at all. She was just nerfed for no reason.
This reminds me, did you notice how Homelander didn't laser anyone this episode despite so many threats and kills?Yeah Episode 7 just screamed "budgeting and scheduling issues"
I reckon it would be if they repeated the Season 3 finale, but on a much larger scale and in a raid style. That way, The Boys and their allies would be able to take out both Vought and all of the enemy characters (including the criminal and/or mentally ill Supes Homelander released), while having characters like the Gen V cast, Ryan and Zoe participate. But, at this point, I don't see how they'd be able to execute that as well as Season 3 did in just a single episode because half of the main cast would never agree to something like that. How in the world do they wrap up the series in the next episode? It's just not possible.
Yeah because its not completely a physical attack, its had sort of dura neg attributes.I mean, Supes aren't immune to the normal effects of strong sounds
Probably disproven from the most recent episode. What if marine animals in The Boys aren't sapient and Deep has been imagining it this whole time
Theory could still be true,if not its more supported.Probably disproven from the most recent episode.
They brought in Samuel L Jackson I think as a shark. The Deep got banned from the ocean lmao.
Not saying it’s absolutely false, just seems less likely in my eyes, hence the “probably”.Theory could still be true,if not its more supported.
As its could be Deeps overwhelming guilt about the pipeline.
The finale would have to be amazing at this point to excuse the entire season being mid. Also, I admit that I liked how they utilized giving Soldier Boy’s radioactive abilities to Kimiko.I actually liked this episode, this season isnt bad at all, just some lazy writing with soldier boy, trying a bit too hard to tease their new spin off series and Butcher underperforming.(Not anymore)
This episode was actually great in terms of writing,it develops everyones writing greatly and plays a nice joke on USA's theocracy. The previous one or 2 episodes was eh but this one was actually good and the comedy part is still good up to this season. Also we got canonical reasons why Sage miscalculated(Tying loose ends) and the Kessler part was great tbh on Butchers and Hughie's writing part.
If the Finale is written well then everything will go well since this season is heavily building up to a Finale, enough for it to depend on it kinda.
Nah I actually think the season is doing great writing wise, just a little bit too much buildup for the Finale, and the aforementioned problems. Not saying it’s absolutely false, just seems less likely in my eyes, hence the “probably”.

Agree to disagree then. I don’t think it’s all bad, but I wouldn’t call it great writing either lol. Not when they wasted time on the two furries sniffing each other, or the dog imaging he’s humping Homelander. If they’d cut down on the filler I’d prefer the season.Nah I actually think the season is doing great writing wise, just a little bit too much buildup for the Finale, and the aforementioned problems.
And also to understand Sages character writing in the new ep you had to have watched gen V season 2(which is kinda stupid).
Maybe, but had pretty noticeable anti feats in the same episode. Like MM was still able to hit her with multiple sucker punches.that one cat super has an instance of dodging a bullet after being fiered, so maybe there's a chance for non subsonic the boys
I’m glad they actually delved into her psyche. It just feels a little too late with one episode left tbh. Honestly I actually did enjoy this episode, but it makes me upset because now it shows me that they could’ve written a better season if they weren’t focused on cramming in tie-ins for spin offs like The Boys: MexicoThe way I see Sage is due to her nahilism and her mind being linear in thinking, all her plans, even backup plans are all ridged she can't predict people chaotic as Soldier Boy
She views humans like chess pieces or algorithms, when people are NOT like that but due to her personality she can't see that
They’ll probably jump him and Kimiko will use the radioactive attack on him. It’s funny to know almost any supe can get Soldier Boy’s radioactive powers. Imagine if Homelander theoretically gave himself the same powers lol. Then he’d literally be invincible by the show’s standards1 episode left and i have no clue how they should kill homie
He might win by this pace lol
I'll be real, who's even left to jump him? startlight? They’ll probably jump him and Kimiko will use the radioactive attack on him.
