If I had a nickel for every shonen jump final villain who has stolen bodies... I'd have at least two nickels, but its weird it happened twice. Just that Megumi was saved, while Taiyo saved himself with a bunch of help. So sure

So seems like Sukuna is over 5x weaker and his only real wincon is world cutting slash cause his normal slashes would be ineffective plus Asa's regen.

Does Asa have any kind of aura or energy that Sukuna may be able to sense cause otherwise he'd probably go into the fight normally and just get wrecked?

He probably doesn’t tbh. Characters, such as Kyoichiro Yozakura, couldn’t sense Asa until he was literally close enough to hear his footsteps.

And Kyoichiro is regarded as the most skilled and strongest member of the Yozakura Family, making him superior to the “almost superhuman” Taiyo Asano.

Mahoraga would also get beat on but worse considering how its durability before adapting is worse than Sukuna. Sukuna does have a chance the thing is he has to hit the world slash immediately or else he gets cooked

I see, so Asa is confidently winning 8-9/10 times whether it’s Meguna or 20F Sukuna. With Sukuna basically needing to rely on the element of surprise the world slash has (cause I’m pretty sure Cleave and Dismantle are considered as having layered invisibility)

Question but doesn’t cursed energy have Pain and curse manipulation as a default property of it? Wouldn’t that infect Asa even if all Sukuna can muster are a bunch of shallow slashes with it? That might be able to wear down Asa a bit at least even if Asa still has way more ways to win

Yes, he has used True Spring Blooming to intentionally go for a one shot against a guy when he realized he was equal to/slightly stronger than his base self from fighting him

Against someone he knows to take very seriously/understands their strength immediately such as Asa, its the first thing he does (although neither have prior knowledge in this fight, so this doesn't happen)

I assume Taiyo has his own senses for strength? But regardless you can still sense the strength of Sukuna he gives off an evil aura. And just fighting a bit will tell Taiyo he needs to go into true blooming given Sukuna's near 5x stronger. Taiyo will end up one shotting.

Although Sukuna's slashes are going to be invisible to Taiyo this whole battle no? (Given I'm pretty sure they're invisible to most sorcerers). So while Taiyo is in Blooming, Sukuna does have an opportunity to catch Taiyo off guard and damage him severely with a couple of em even accounting for Taiyo's hardening durability amp. Well that and Sukuna has RCT to save him from being pulverized, Taiyo would have to figure out he needs to destroy his head/decapitate him or something mid way through the battle, or coincidentally destroy his gut completely

Minor correction, Taiyo’s enhanced neutral vision only comes from the Profuse Blooming, which he never used Post-Timeskip and was instructed not to use, so he doesn’t have that in this match up.

But I see your point in the others, similar to Asa, Sukuna’s only hope would be world slash, just unlike Asa. Taiyo’s much more aggressive in how he fights.
So Sukuna only has one wincon, maybe 2 if he gets lucky with a dismantle on Taiyo’s head before he uses True Spring Blooming
