Depends on priority, some Unicrons needed to be fused to a massive computer to be stopped (Or something like that), since he was starting to devour a lot of the Universe and as such getting revived everytime since he had high priority.

If they were eating the universe I assume those were not the 5-B ones

They were eating, could range from 5-B to 3-A, altough Unicrons as such cant be killed since they are still a part of the Low 1-B, meaning they are the incarnation of Fear and Malice, consant Muliversal to put it simple.

Ok, so when he kills himself, how long does it take for a new adapted body to be created? A chaper? An episode? Until the end of the episode? A day? A month?

If this is 5-B Unicron, I'm fairly certain that version has died and taken quite a long time to come back, assuming it's considered the same avatar.

Yep, just that the scale varies, altough some like Higher Dimensional Manip. (wich should be added) can only be used after devouring the Universe.
