Suggestion: linking external wikis

Eh the title sounds odd, but what I am trying to say is; when making profiles or editing them, I think it would be great to link the character's biography from the series' respective fandom wiki.

For example, there are tons of Superman files and quite a few people don't know the difference or what feats belong to which version, so linking the right page from DC Fandom wiki would make it easier for them to understand (and I believe it will help reduce mistakes). Additionally, it might help them find certain issues/story arcs by themselves so they can verify some feats and whatnot.


The same can be done with dragon ball profiles, Toaru (that wiki is extensive when it comes to biography and power explaination), Marvel, etc.


While yes, we do link some wikis on the verse page, but some verses are just too big. So, finding the right character and stuff there might be challenging to some.


What do you guys think?

Obviously, it's not mandatory, but I believe it should be somewhat encouraged to help make the profiles slightly better.

If yes then I agree.
If other stuff such as abilities well, there are some characters that have already links to other wikis.

Yes, biographies.

Some wiki pages also include power explainations at the bottom. Or in case of Toaru, they literally have pages for them. And those explainations are extremely well written and helpful and makes it easier

In terms of Variations, often Fan Wiki’s will have different standards, for example, Goku on DB Wiki has GT, Movies and even Dragon Ball Heroes listed alongside actually canon

Just for instance: Strelok and Raz have links to wikis of their verse to explain some powers and weapons which is pretty useful. Doing that with biographies have pretty much as same good potential.

But leaving aside dragon ball, many other fan wikis have separate profile for each version.

Yep those are good examples. If we do for more, it would be even better.

I'd rather not, considering the validity of the information on other Wiki's might be questionable and it would make our profiles less reliable in associating if we link to them. Plus there can be multiple Wikis for certain franchises which make linking profiles to them tricky.

I mean not really? Yeah some powers are complicated but it could do more good than bad. Especially for some of these verses.

I think that it is enough that we already link to the main wikis at the top of our verse pages. We are not specialised in biographies, and this suggestion would take far too much work to apply for no gain for a powerscaling wiki.
