INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone, in this thread I will be discussing a multiplier proposal that solely comes from a single technique. That technique being the 11th forbidden technique, Fighting Method.
FIGHTING METHOD & JUN FAN
What is Fighting Method aside from being a forbidden technique? Fighting Method is a technique that removes limitations such as mental blocks and allows the user to focus only on winning. This is done by having Gamin Youn in a bloodlusted mental state which is what’s required to ensure he beats severe criminals as Gamin has a tendency to hold back even with those who are considered serial killers and such. On initial appearance of Fighting Method we can see that there is a clear distinction between Jun Fan and Fighting Method while the two also being closely linked. Killing Method is what Jun Fan wants to be but it lacks to mentality to do so. Jun Fan disregards martial arts and focuses on unleashing lethal attacks that injures your opponent. Fighting Method actually leaves lifelong injuries that cannot be easily undone or even worse leads with killing.
Now, both respective techniques do offer Gamin a raise in physical statistics but Jun Fan is considered weaker than Fighting Method as Gamin is still actively holding back and held by mental limitations, we even see this when Yeongha Jeon uses Zone which is his Fighting Method equivalent and greatly injures Gamin (Jun Fan) showing clear superiority between Zone (Fighting Method equivalent) and Jun Fan. When Gamin uses his traumatic experiences to activate his Fighting Method which thrives on rage, we see that Gamin has gone berserk to the point of Yeongha not even being able to contain him despite having leeway formerly.
FIGHTING METHOD MECHANICS
Since Gamin struggles to maintain actual killing intent due to his kindhearted nature, Yeongha had advised Gamin fakes it or uses method acting to bring a faux killing intent into existence. By doing this we later see that Gamin’s Fighting Method comes in percentages. He starts off at 17% which is stated by Yeongha himself. We also know that the numerical value given isn’t just referencing his method acting or how much into character he’s in but it also has significance in how much stronger he’s getting.
In base Gamin is getting dominated by Sinhu Seong. We see that Gamin can no longer rely on his base form and uses Fighting Method 25% which he acquired from his battle with Seungha. Gamin combines mother’s basics with Fighting Method (Fajin) and lands a straight which damages Sinhu. We see another attack land against Sinhu which digs his face into the ground.
Before Sinhu is attacked by Fighting Method (wedge), we see Gamin consume some alcohol which is what ultimately brings his Fighting Method from 25% to 37%.
CONCLUSION AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
With all the evidences I’ve gathered I believe this is sufficient for now but will bring more if need be. For more reference I plan to get a multiplier out of this by using percentage increase with these canonical percentage values. Since Gamin is currently 15 KiloJoules this would mean that Fighting Method 37% would increase that to 20.55 KiloJoules or being a 1.37x multiplier for now and for when 100% is introduced it would conclude with it being a 2x multiplier at absolute maximum unless contradicted, resulting in 30 KiloJoules. I am also aware that in none of these panels there aren't any usage of ''several, greatly, many or dozens'' but this thread is to see if the proof I've given is sufficient for something new. Something that you don't see as often and an alternative with percentile values. For further information, Jun Fan or Zhen Fan is stated to strengthen techniques and we visually see techniques being strengthened like with the earlier panels where you could see Gamin using ''merciless beating'' which is an evolution of uncle's forbbiden technique N0.1, one sided consecutive hits. Thank you in advance.
