Speed-o'-Sound Sonic vs Hellfire Flame (7-0-1)

Well, Sonic was recently upgraded to 7-B so let's see how he would have fared in a 1v1 against one of the Ninja Bros in their human form. And yeah, Sonic actually has a chance here considering that the fight against the Ninja Bros in chapter 78 was redrawn and Sonic actually manages to fight back against the two of them.

  • Both are on their 7-B keys, Hellfire Flame cannot transform into his monster form
  • Speed is unequalized, both are MHS+ but Hellfire Flame scales above Sonic by an unknown amount

Even if Hellfire was 'beating around' Sonic with him playing around, he also had Gale's help that time. It's annoying because Sonic wasn't going at his best there, but from how Sonic was talking I don't think he was going to serious either.

Hellfire might have the edge though since his flame attacks might actually mess up Sonic's equipment and if he loses his tools, Sonic's output goes down. His homing stuff doesn't feel too relevant either. Overall just slightly leaning on Hellfire if not a tie.
 
Sonic's 4 Shadow Burial makes him FTE to people who are much faster than his normal speed. 10 Shadow Burial is vastly superior to 4 Shadow Burial, so I don't see Hellfire standing a chance once Sonic uses either of those, unless Hellfire decides to use AoE
 
True, in any case Hellfire Flame does hold a considerable speed advantage at first since he could keep up with a casual Flashy Flash and even in the redrawn fight against Sonic he was unimpressed by his skills

Also it's in character for Hellfire to use his AoE.
 
Oh yeah SB is a thing. I think I'll vote for Sonic then. Since even if we don't know Hell's true speed on his normal form, I think he was still being overwhelmed during Flashy's fight on his human form. Also feels like it makes sense that he'd win eventually knowing he's close to Flashy's level.
 
From what I saw in the chapter, they were quite even, and both weren't using their best

However, Sonic has a speed amp with the Shadow Burial

While Hellfire has the feat of fighting a casual Flash, who's massively superior to anyone here, so his base scaling should be superior to Sonic since he would be using more o his power against FF

Can't say anything but Inconclusive
 
I'm voting Sonic. He should be able to avoid all of Hellfire's aoe and fire attacks with relative ease. He also has solid wincons with his blitz speed amps and explosive danmaku.
 
Funny thing is that we might get this battle sometime in the future, assuming that Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame will still be part of the Heavenly Ninja Party and they'll all fight Sonic and Flash like in the webcomic. But for now, I'm unsure of how this battle would go, as it seems like Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame were much stronger than Sonic even without using their monster forms, and I'm not sure whether his speed amps would be enough to get him victory here.

Oh we definitely will. It's just a matter of how long it'll take

When you're so fast that an adaptation cannot keep up with your speed. Sad.

I'd say both are very evenly matched but Sonic's speed amps should be enough to barley edge out a win. I'll vote him for now.
 
Counted, I would vote Sonic as well to start grace but I want to see if anyone wants to make an argument for Hellfire Flame first
