I don't understand why the soul King is "Possibly Planet"

The soul king is a lynchpin in the sense that he regulates the amount of souls that come in and out of Soul Society and earth, without him the amount of souls would become unbalanced on both sides and they'd just crumble into one another

Now firstly Regulating souls is neither planetary nor an actually Quantifiable feat, thus this can't be the reason he's planetary

Secondly him being the lynchpin is completely down to him regulating souls between the two planes thus this again can't be the reason he is planetary

Thirdly, we have characters muuuuuuuuuuch weaker than Planetary who are able to take his place and keep the worlds from falling apart for a short period of time, thus proving you don't need to be planetary to keep the worlds together

Lastly, I may be wrong on this but didn't Yhwach, a being much weaker than Planetary at the time easily defeat him? Correct me if i'm wrong but all of these factors lead me to believe the soul king is not planetary

I think the rating should be changed to Unknown since he pretty much only has 1 feat and that's unquantifiable (Regulating souls)

Don't know, and the reason may change because the new canon novel co-written by Kubo and Narita (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/BleachCannotFearYourOwnWorld) explains that only certain individuals with a certain amount of Reiatsu can be made into a Soul King. Yhwach's unnamed father, Yhwach himself, Ichigo and some kid (female/male/?) from the noble rich evil houses. Shunshui and Ichibei knew that if Yhwach's sealed reiatsu wasn't used, Ichigo would had been the only strong enough to fit that task, even if betrayal was necessary to save the worlds.

I suppose that you have a point. I will inform Gwynbleiddd, LordAizenSama, and KuuIchigo about this thread.

The Soul King was sealed frozen in crystal. You can hardly expect him to tank attacks..

The SoulKings power prevents the worlds from being destroyed..

Also apple is right, only users of certain levels of reiatsu can be the SoulKing. Theres also the fact Yhwach can merge three worlds together after absorbing the SoulKing. If anything the new novels justify Ichigo/Aizens tier being up there, if not higher.

I think his possibly 5-B tier is fine.

Okay. Thank you for the evaluation.

As LordAizen said Soul King was never in a free state where he would be able to defend himself.

But i also agree with OP on the fact that his function isn't quantifiable.

I guess we could scale him to Yhwach's best feat after absorbing him (elevating the Vandenreich) and add a possible Planet level.

Okay. I suppose that seems to make sense.

Okay. Feel free to adjust the page accordingly then.

As AppleLord and LordAizenSama have said, you need a certain amount of reiatsu to stop the worlds from crumbling. Yhwach was only able to maintian the worlds after absorbing the Soul King's reiatsu. Furthermore, the Soul King's reiatsu was what gave Yhwach enough power to destroy and recreate the worlds.

The Soul King is easily Planet level.

@LordAizenSama and @Gwynbleiddd On the topic of the Soul King and Planet level beings, don't you guys think we should upgrade Ichigo and possibly Aizen to Tier 5-B?

- Ichigo has enough reiatsu to be a Soul King candidate. - Ichigo was clearly superior to Yhwach in the stats department.

- Aizen tanked Yhwach's reiatsu. - Aizen kept up with Yhwach. - Aizen restricted Yhwach's movement.
