Sonic citation formatting

I think its good that profiles nowadays have scans and citations, but the Sonic profile is just ridiculous

How did people look at this and find it acceptable?. I get that its trying to showcase a list of acrobatics feats, but do you really need that many citations? Several of them are even from the same comic chapter, like you could just put multiple of them into an imgur folder. It would look so much neater

I personally think there should only be 3 citations for 1 thing, and the rest can be put in a blog, sort of like a respect thread. Having like more than a dozen citations for the same thing is just absurd

Well its heavily sourced that by itself isn't necessarily a problem, just shows consistency in statements

53 citations is definitely a formatting problem, it looks so stupid. It would look way better if you just put a chunk of it into an imgur album or just include the most relevant feats and link another blog that contains the other less notable feats

And I do agree that showing something is consistent is good, but I want you to think about this, do we really need 53 scans to prove Sonic is a great acrobat?

You don't but its on a technical sense not incorrect formatting, now your proposition is a fine one outside of that for a fix if they want to cut down on the fluff

That's not the issue with the page itself, that's just how wikisource works when you have to cite sources for specific statements.

Apparently even the page number within a comic book should be cited within a character page now. This was spurred on by Imgur's tendency to poof certain albums iirc, making it a way to ensure the scan can always be found.

The only thing I will say is if multiple citations are in the same chapter, it’s better off to combine them all into one Imgur link and just cite that chapter and not the specific pages

Ant made a thread saying for us to put individual page references for comic books, so we just followed that

I've got something like that, but it only covers Sonic 1. The amount of acrobatic feats and statements in a franchise like Sonic is just insane.
