iirc the confusion effect in Xenoblade has some other properties to it as well. It basically acts as a mental wall for Shulk.

Well, he doesn't resist D's passive Empathic and Fear Manip, so this probably makes a opening to D attack him first

D, even while on character, have no mercy of his enemies, no matter sex or age, so he's going for the kill, and Shulk doesn't have regen, and even if he have, D can negate up to Mid-Godly. Lefty can also absorb Shulk, as some kind of BFR, to end the fight since Shulk have Type 7 Immortality, and this is totally in character for D

Like Josh said earlier, Shulk resists the confusion status effect with his debuff resist gem, confusion acts as a mental wall for Shulk, so that likely patches up empathetic and fear manipulation. As for absorption, that might not work, once again because of the debuff resist gem, which in-game makes Shulk immune to all status ailments, including HP absorb, which is listed as absorption on Shulk's profile. If the BFR is through absorption, I don't think it would work. Does D have any other methods of BFR?
