Should "Pain Tolerance" and "Resistance" be separated?

Most profiles list off the ability to willpower your way through immense pain to be "Pain Tolerance". But, should this really be listed as Resistance?

Pain Tolerance would be taking pain normally -- meaning it would still hurt like hell -- and finding the strength in your body and your mind to ignore the pain and continue with your activities. On the other, Pain Resistance would be more akin to not feeling pain at all, possibly due to a disorder or your senses being destroyed -- like a zombie.

Should Pain Tolerance be its own power?

I mean, if your tolerating the pain without any real adverse effects besides it hurting, doesn't that mean your still resisting it?

The characters that have this power listed are usually still affected by the pain but have the drive to continue battling, like Garou who despite having his power drained, his stamina shot, his balance tipped, and his senses dampened as a result of his extensive injuries and fatigue, continued to battle against Death Gatling's team, eventually coming out victorious and stronger than ever, Izuku Midoriya who endures the recoil of his own self-destructive One For All power, constantly destroying his body from the inside-out and stands his ground against powerful villains while still suffering the consequences afterwards, and Michael Myers who, while still feeling the pain from the blows he receives on a regular basis and being closer to a normal human than the other two people mentioned, pursues after his victims relentlessly without anything stopping him.

Bro just shot me up with a whole ass essay-

I think reistance is not feeling the pain at all, while tolerance is feeling it but it doesn't affect your actions nearly as much.

Feels kinda arbitrary and unnecessary to split them, i think tolerance is treated different per verse anyway

tolerance means you just live with the pain

resistance means you resist the feeling of pain AKA the pain don't happen because you resist it

you can have resistance without tolerance and tolerance without resistance

but tbh the pain itself is doesn't really do much difference when you resist or tolerate them so its kina redundant to split them

Pain Tolerance is different than resistance to pain manipulation; the latter is just being able to potentially minimize or be unaffected by pain manipulation hax while the former is still just as affected as someone with 0 resistance to pain manipulation but simply don't seem to mind the pain all that much.
