Shinobi Undercover Discussion Thread

Pretty good chapter. Yodaka isn't the one on the offensive this time, so Squad 9 gets some shine
 
Drunk Suzume, advanced steel scales and a pretty boy. Your standard Shinobi Undercover chapter I see lmao
 
Really great chapter this week! We got some very interesting insight towards Hibari and especially Buncho as characters. This whole arc has been really good with pushing these new characters in squad 7 and their relations to the ninja world
 
Nothing too crazy this chapter other than the reveal of a new Kekkai. Very cool looking tho
 
Very hype chapter this week

Yodaka got even more justification for his insane levels of skill with learning the six arts of capture

Hibari got some nice skill additions as well

Kasasagi has direct counters and now we have an even bigger threat to deal with
 
You know what, I respect the hustle man. I read this series too, it's pretty basic but fun all the same. So what're the stats we're looking at? City Block for that one dude vaporizing that lot and some sort of supersonic range?

The Tippity Top tiers we've seen scale to Hojiro. He's had a couple calcs on his crater punch made from in the small town ranges (I don't agree with the methodology to them)

But we have better ones, including one I did that go from CB+ to MCB, so that's where they sit

Tippity Top Tiers also have supersonic reactions with 1 Hypersonic attack

Everyone else below is trickier to place, if we get a verse page I can work that out easier, but it varies anywhere from Small Building to Large Building depending on the ninja. Bare minimum wall for every relevant ninja obviously, we have calcs for that

Speed wise, everyone not in that Top tier range is in very odd transonic limbo cause of Suzume's existence, so unless we get another speed statement for her like Hayabusa's or something else of the like, that's probably where they'll stay

Can I ask why you disagree with the low 7C end? Vaporization feats tend to get stupidly high

I prefer the pulverization ends. Hojiro doesn't have anything suggesting heat for Vaporization

The statement on it with Hayabusa using Electromagnetic force to fire projectiles, essentially just using his arms to fire things like a railgun

Yet the crater was vaporized, theres smoke and steam coming out of it. Just cause he doesn't have any heat based moves doesn't mean he can't hit hard enough to vaporize the ground. He just straight up did that.

Is that how fast it is? This kinda sounds shaky, cause unless there's something that can let it hold water, I don't think firing with "electromagnetic force" would give it anything.

It wasn't vaporized, it was pulverized, and that wasn't steam, that was dust. Less assumptions fo a pulverization ends due to site rules and more agreements on the pulverization end compared to the vaporization end, even the original calcer

Considering its portrayal for its speed and the fact that it's directly stated Hayabusa turned himself into a railgun to fire projectiles, just using his arms as the rails as a substitute, I'm more inclined to believe it

The original calc used 3 different speeds for it, just to be safe, and there weren't any real disagreements on it
 
1: Yoichi was already pretty tough before, but with Primal Kekkai he's now pretty cemented in those top tier ranges, which is cool. His powers give me hope we'll see some even bigger feats from him and future Primal Kekkai

2: Yodaka might've just gotten a new speed feat if what I think happened actually happened

That being him moving so fast that he's leaving steam in his wake (supported by Hibari actually commenting on his speed after the fact making me believe this relates to Yodaka specifically). A little searching nets around 700 m/s, give or take a bit more or so, making it supersonic if the process is correct and such, which not only makes it a new feat for Yodaka, but also more consistency for supersonic ninja of his caliber
 
Ok, so Yodaka doesn't get a feat I thought he did last chapter unfortunately, but in return, we get something really funny and some growth on his mental state, which is appreciated
 
Unrelated, but Suzume definitely has to be the next one to add something to her kit. Don't get me wrong, she's still extremely useful, I'm just surprised she hasn't gotten something new

Guess she's just that good lol

Really solid chapter. Seems like we're about to bring this arc to a close very soon. I was thinking that Kasasagi was gonna go to Squad 9 by the end of this, but seeing what they're doing with squad 7, I doubt it now. Maybe, and hear me out on this, this leads to OP leading 2 ninja squads because of this

If you haven't read their previous series, Candy Flurry, you can read that and see where Shinobi got its groundwork from

If you want something newer, you could read Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi, Nue's Exorcist or Kinato's magic
