doesn't sentry have a heat based aura? That will possibly melt the ice.

He does have a "warm aura" - but its more on the emotional side than physical.

However, he can redirect the solar radiation he absorbs in different ways. Like this one time he changed it to charge up Iron Man's armour (New Avengers Vol.4: the Collective)
