How Ridley's invulnerability works?

Gonna have to say Charizard. He's got a larger variety of attacks under his belt, better lifting strength, superior range, and his Dragon-type moves might be super effective against Ridley. Ridley's regen also can only come into play if he eats corpses, and I doubt Charizard would give him such an opportunity.
