Resistances via anti-UES.

Let's say a certain weapon or ability specializes in power nullification pertaining to a certain universal energy system. For example, an anti-magic sword. If this sword was depicted as resisting hax like corruption or madness manipulation, would this sword gain direct resistances to those hax, or would it be seen as a "chain reaction" process via nullifying the energy behind those hax?

If someone is resistent to magic, then in theory is resistent to effects that are based in magic, regardless of their effects. Likewise, if someone is resistent to o specific effect, then in theory is resistent to anything that produce that effect, regardless of the nature of origin.

Of course, due reality equalization, you would need to prove that the magic from one verse is equivalent to the other and have more in common eyond their name. Furthermore, I'm not considering sources of powers that bypasses resistances/immunities, nor dimensional disparity.
