Requesting an upgrade for post crisis Superman's speed.

Superman flew from planet Apocalypse to planet earth in the span of a few seconds.

Apocalypse exists a universe's distance away from earth.

The DC universe is at least 100 trillion light years long.

The time frame was given as a few a second, so 10 second should be a good lowball.

100 trillion light years / 10 second = 7 quintillion time faster than light.

And this isn't an outlier either since he's faster than Green Laterns who have shown this level of speed on multiple occasions.

Looks alright, though it'll likely only apply to Superman's "flight speed" if accepted. And when have Green Lanterns preformed similar speed feats?

@Cropfist:

The entire Green Lantern corps has flown from OA (the center of the universe) to the Source Wall (Edge of the universe) in a short time frame. Which should be at similar levels as this feat.

So this isn't a outliner hmm I mean new 52 crossed the universe in 2 months and green lantern did it in 3 hours

You really got my attention here as I did accept this, but I am waiting for other people's input on it. @Antvasima What do you think of this?

If he took an instant to fly from an universe to other I have no problem to consider that speed very similar to his CS; however, if took several hours if questionable, or if he uses some kind of warping space ( I'd heard thta Superman use that) isn't scalable

@OP: Does Superman use space warp in this scene? I would prefere if you share the comic issue number for the scan so that we can verify. A lot of comic feats are taken out of context (I am not accusing you, this is an honest mistake that happens commonly)

@Faisal: You literally have the full context in the scans but if you want to read the comic it's Adventure of Superman #7 or #8

@Antoniofer: It was specifically stated that it took him seconds to travel taht distance.
Noted already, my mistake. Seems good is the distance is correct, but I would use a higher timeframe

Well, the problem is that the "universe away" quote came from another comic, and most likely refers to that, as far as I remember, Apocolips is usually not treated as not a part of the regular DC Universe at all.

In addition, in at least one storyline it was stated that the regular DC Universe were extremely small compared to, and contained within the 4th world of New Genesis and Apocolips.

And recently, as of Multiversity, it seems to occupy the realm of the gods, which is also a higher level of existence.

As such, due to inherent extreme inconsistencies, with extremely limited coherent continuity from writer to writer, it is extremely hard to scale from one story to another.

Hence, although it is certainly an extremely impressive feat to travel from one planet to another within seconds, if we do not know the exact distance, I don't think that we can set a specific number other than simply "MFTL+".

I have added it as a speed feat in his page, however.
