While Rentarou has some absurd gag feats, he lacks a reliable counter to Homelander’s flight and long-range heat vision. Homelander can easily keep his distance and overwhelm him with raw destructive power. The gap in range and flight makes this a solid win for Homelander.

Hey I suggest you read both profiles because Rentarou has so many counters and reliably ways to instantly win compared to Homelander's only tactics being countered by Immortality and the insanely superior LS, this isn't even a fair fight. Homelander is underrated but not this much lol.

I also don't know what you mean "gap in range" when Rentarou has infinitely better range?

Fair enough, I might have underestimated Rentarou's specific hax capabilities. I was looking at this primarily through standard power-scaling metrics for street/low-tier characters. Could you clarify which specific abilities allow him to bypass Homelander's stats so easily? I'm genuinely interested in seeing how those match up

Plot Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation and Information Manipulation (Type 2 specifically) are all top tiers abilities in fiction, having them is a huge advantage or most of the time an instant win if the other person lacks a counter

Ah, I completely overlooked the gag/meta abilities on his profile. You're absolutely right; Homelander is just a standard flying brick and has zero resistance to Plot or Conceptual Manipulation. Those hax abilities definitely make this a massive stomp for Rentarou. Thanks for pointing that out and explaining!
