I might go with Johnny by a slight margin. They both kinda cancel each other out in terms of AP, as they're both Town Level, but some might might argue that Ren has "likely Town Level," and Johnny just has Town Level, so some may argue that Johnny might have a very slight AP edge, but both of their Regen pretty much cancels it out.
Johnny does have a range advantage, and he has more useful hax than Ren does, and even though Ren can be smarter than Johnny, Johnny is consistently smarter than Ren. Ren can be Animalistic, and then of all a sudden be a Genius, while Johnny is usually Average for the most part. He also comes up with very creative and smart plans while in battle, or in dangerous situations in general, so that's another thing.
