If an Author calls let's say the Speed of Light to be 2000m/s then he says Character X is now 10000m/s in the same sentence, should Character X be rated 5c (FTL) on this wiki?

Yeah, that's just author not knowing science and it wouldn't even really be light speed. If an Author calls let's say the Speed of Light to be 2000m/s then he says Character X is now 10000m/s in the same sentence, should Character X be rated 5c (FTL) on this wiki?
No, its weird that an author would specifically state the speed of light is not the same as the real one on our world but the tiers are fixed and wont change because the author gave it a different value so 2000m/s is hypersonic and 10000 is high hypersonic.
If the author changes the definition of what a meter is, or if the visuals show him somehow using speed of light but the author still called it 2000m/s then yes he could potentially have light speed but for the multiplier based on the 10000 value should not be considered
How about something less defined like SoLI think the author is trying to set up a new rule in their fictional world, I suppose.
