[Re:Zero] Subaru Upscale Maybe?

I really don't get this logic.
It's because it works via Contracts. Petelgeuse is forcing a Contract on people with Spirit-affinity to allow him to possess them. This is stated to fail when the target already has a formal Contract with another spirit, because he cannot displace that Contract. This isn't just stealing a body via stuffing your soul into them, it follows the "rules" of the forced Contract.

This is like not giving a character heat resistance because it was stated the flames of a fire manipulator they're fighting aren't hot enough to burn them.
By this logic, do we give people in Re Zero who doesn't have knowledge of spirit arts or spirit affinity possession resistance to the category of spiritual possession because Geuse's own conditions of forcing one way contract possession doesn't work on them?

I guess I can kinda see what you mean. This just seems like a lack of knowledge about what makes someone qualified to be a spirit mage. It’s not like other people are incapable of binding their souls to another the same way, so what is the difference? I've always interpreted affinity as the ability to attract spirits and the capacity of the soul. Those things are a part of it at the very least. Still, a lack of knowledge is a lack of knowledge. This does seem to suggest that there is more to affinity than just those traits. I will concede it shouldn't be indexed because of Beatrice.

If this is true then this feat do not constitute any ability or resistance at all, just limitation

?

The proposal in the OP has nothing to do with what @Zabazab said. What we were talking about was something for Arc5-9 Subaru key that was proposed by Satella in the replies. Mine is different for Arc1-9 with an entirely different scene/context.

For more context of the scene in the OP

Subaru fulfilled the conditions needed for Petelgeuse’s possession to work. Petelgeuse also completed and fully possessed Subaru in that moment. So now none of these are limitations of Petelgeuse. Subaru with his own capabilities, body, and soul managed to overpower his control and take back his own body.

Then it is just limited resistance like Somebodydata has said

Hey when I eventually apply this, are the profiles strictly LN/WN scans only or is anime fine as well. (Idk I just really liked this scene)

That... would probably have to be taken on a case by case basis. Some scenes are basically 1 to 1 and some just have no semblance of the source material at all. Just feel free to ask in the general discussion thread if you have anything specific in mind.
