This shouldn't be an issue. From the very beginning, Od has met the requirements for Type-3—a lesser concept that underlies age, mind, and physical form which already qualifies it as an individual Concept.

Od is described several times as the root of existence, and it is even treated in accordance with how it is described.

Yes. But the text doesn't talk about Od or Soul being the true essence or something. He simply saw the gap between life and death and it was like uncovering the true nature/essence of life and soul, nothing like "Od" itself being the true essence of those.

Basically, i don't really see any Od mention of it being the true essence or anything here.

I don't get what the author means here. It's just like when he was glazing Murasame, saying that the sword can cut through the point of essence of a concept. In our terminology, a concept is already the essence—the most fundamental aspect of an object. Yet he still says, 'Regardless of whether it's a phenomenon or a concept, there is an underlying essence behind them.' Then again, something like this isn't worth making a fuss about.
