He rid Petelgeuse from his body by breaking a taboo. He was able to do it because he still had the ability to somewhat take action while Petelgeuse was taking over. He can't do something like that if someone fully possesses his body.
It might be rather based on Petelgeuse's possession here rather than a resistance imo.

We don't really have enough evidence to say whether or not him resisting it is a result or his own abilities or a limitation of Petelgeuse's authority when it comes to an unwilling host. That being said, maybe he should have it anyway as a byproduct of Satella's presence. He is essentially blessed.

I mean if it’s never stated or implied in the story that it’s a limitation of Petelgeuse then I don’t see why we can’t assume it’s just Subaru’s own doing. Bro wasn’t even in the middle of taking over too. That was like a good minute or 2.

I don't see how the current justification doesn't work, at least in terms of his magic control. Very few characters are able to cast magic inside another. I don't think any other character has displayed the ability to do so with nearly this much precision. Maybe he deserves a split rating like Al though. There's also him crumbling the black serpent's venom up into a small point. His control over his magic is genuinely absurd by Re:Zero standards.

Considering Geuse said his body is under his subconscious control, it would mean Subaru overpowered his control after taking over was completed. Him still getting possessed or eventually getting possessed again would make it limited and unconventional via Satella being able to bail him out if he abuses RBD thingy.

For main story Subaru without Beatrice probably around a few hundred. Gojo is definitely a bit stronger than Flam and Grassis, but not as strong as Hornette. For Pride if Subaru idk how he would even win other than eventually wearing down his cursed energy. But that would take ages, especially since he'd see DE doesn't work after he tries it the first time. That's going to take thousands of loops. As a normal matchup that's just a stomp though.

This one specifically. The differences is basically just Wilhelm existing in the LN for it and in the WN the entire gang is there (Is LN and WN just both indexed at the same time?). Overall same resistance.

LN is preferred as the primary canon. But if the scene is identical in the WN, no one will complain if that's used. I'd recommend against using the anime unless the visuals are what's important; like Satella's hand being shown when Subaru was summoned.
In any case, this is Subaru resisting in volume 8 chapter 5 and in volume 9 chapter 4, and the Witch of Envy booting Petelgeuse out of Subaru in the same chapter.
