Re Zero Discussion Thread: Season 4 is Real

HAVE FUN BROSKIES

Hello, I'm new here, and I hope I can help you. First of all, I would like to know if there is a specific website to use to obtain official or more reliable translations?
Also, Zabazab wants to give acausality type 4 or 5 for Regulus, claiming that the laws of the world of Re:Zero include fate and causality. Shouldn't this mean manipulation of causality and manipulation of fate for all Authority-users, since they manipulate the laws and concepts of the world of Re:Zero? I have other things to say/ask, but I'll start with that (sorry for my bad english).

No, since which laws they're rewriting would depend on their Authority's effect. Minerva's Wrath interferes with causality, Rye's Gluttony interferes with Names inscribed into Od Lagna.

I have other things to say/ask
Feel free

": Magic, it is a miraculous discipline with the hidden potential to make anything one imagines into re-ality"
Arc 9 chapter 14 magic=subjective reality

"Magic, was a technique that reflected one's will into reality, defying the laws of nature by means of in cantation. A sophisticated, delicate act of barbarism tantamount to forcibly rewriting a script, altering the ending" arc 9 chapter 12 magic=subjective reality + law manip
I don't know if there is already a discussion about this, so if there is, I apologize

I have thought about making a blog already but just collecting scans and they are here but yes its been discussed

@Crimsonobu Can alternative versions/if routes be used for scaling? and is there a discussion about echidna's dream world?
because in the prologue of volume 41 (I think) it is stated to have stars and in the greed if the dream World is stated infinite

Alter's P&A

Can alternative versions/if routes be used for scaling?
Yes, if they don't contradict main/side story information.

and is there a discussion about echidna's dream world?

It being born of genjutsu calls into question whether or not the feat would scale to anything, as a mental plane doesn't have any real spatial axes.

The rest is fine and all but we should probably talk about this...
If we go by the fact that Roswaal should scale to atleast Beatrice then he gets regen negation of upto high mid atleast, strictly speaking he should be able to destroy anybody uptil low high regen. So if he is completely unable to overpower Alter's regen it would imply at the very least that level of regeneration.

Anyways, blabbering aside, it should resist regen negation at the very least

the dream world is a mental world 🤨🤔 I always thought it was just a spiritual world/lacking physicality because it is stated that it is in the world of rezero and it has already been called a parallel world (if I remember correctly)

It's likely that volume 42's final chapter, "Magician", will release soon. Looking forward to seeing how the trio overcomes the Dragon.

Also, volume 42's prologue was very interesting, with more Al and Echidna dynamic. We also had some Ol Shamak lore— it's so strong due to basically being a binding vow that it can only function properly on Witch Factor hosts. Its seal also can't be broken by any means besides an Authority, the Dragon Sword, or the caster's will. I'm guessing Echidna could break out due to being in a dream or having no Witch Factor... or she's just goated like that.

I'm looking forward to the volume 42 shop specials as well, especially No Stella No Life 4, but I'm sure Undead Busters 4 and Kararagi Shinigami Incident 4 will have interesting aspects as well. Although a lot of side story translations seem to have been taken down.

I'm betting that it will have Roswaal making one last attack at the end of the chapter while being irrelevant for %90 of it.

Al Sextet does no harm to Alter, but its dragonhalo turns black, and then Clind strikes its scar.

Also I really despise Clind's horns. He looks like a sheep. They don't even look like Volcanica's horns which are sharp and turn upwards. Should've just copied Madelyn's, her horns don't resemble Mezoreias.

She did explain how her authority works to Aldebaran rather than explaining like it was someone else's, so i assume it's the first one.
Or maybe because he's her creation? It can be broken by the sealer, maybe Echidna also counts as one based on their connection?
Though it's entirely possible she just figured it out after claiming it wasn't possible considering it's here :d

She had a Witch Factor and can use the Authority of Greed in her dream, but since she's deceased she no longer has a Witch Factor, it passed to Regulus and then Subaru.

I wonder, to what extent it is accepted as one in that place.

Also it's entirely possible that this happens before Regulus was even born. I mean considering Al's statements about having regrets from 400 years ago and Witches being angry/disappointed at him

We also know Al is genuinely around 40 years old considering his thoughts, and while he knew the Witches who exist in the Castle of Dreams, and has future knowledge, he doesn't know other things like what Reid was like or what's up with Clind and Volcanica.

"Magician" summary btw. Tier 5 Clind...

I mostly expect some time travel event. Mostly unknown ig, i have hopes though.

Amazing chapter as always

Now waiting a few weeks for webnovel to start again...

"Magician" will probably release in the WN by the 25th. This happened with "Sphinx" and "The Witch" too.

I made a small sandbox (99% finished, I just need to find the volumes and chapters of certain statements) on the cosmology of re:zero about the universe and the dream world I would like to discuss it/have your opinions where can I put my sandbox?

You can just send it here. (I'm curious about it now :d)

If it's ugly I'm sorry 😅
The dream world is a failure, the stars there are fake, and those visual statements like "Can't see beyond the horizon, seemed eternal" etc doesn't really support infinite size. It's not even a physical plane to begin with. Also it doesn't prove that it has it's own time axis, time just passes slowly because of it's state.

It doesn't scale to uni+, at least not based on these imo. Also it's kinda weird since Echidna's dream world is created via Dream Arts rather than Authorities (Maybe she uses the authority as support in some way?). There are still users of it in the verse, in omega's side story currently.

So currently, it's nothing more than a "dream world".

"The blue of the sky and the green of the earth went on forevermore" isn't this enough to prove that it is infinite in size? + for the stars it is only a secondary statement to prove the large size and if they are false bothers it is just that they are not physical like the entirety of the rest of this world + you don't explain how the lack of physics is a problem + how the fact that time flows slowly does not fit its own time axis?

The next moment, with a speed that broke the wind, the girl dashed out and struck her fist straight into Subaru. His face being suddenly injected with such incredible speed and power, Subaru’s body was quite literally blown away like a leaf. But,
Subaru: “Pffu――!?”
Expecting to continue being blown away for quite some time, he suddenly arrived at the end of the world.
Echidna had actually trapped Subaru within a world of limited space, so after being launched flying by the power-packed punch, he had only managed to fly for a short distance. The impact against the invisible wall rolling through his entire body, having splatted in the middle of the air, Subaru turned his eyes back around. And there,
– Arc 4 Chapter 11

🤔 my scan comes from greed if so I guess it is now considered non-canon because it is in opposition to declarations of the ln (even if it is possible that she can just control the size but okay)

Roswaal slander is wild.
Author's death concept really hit with the last chapter.
How do we scale roswaal now + what's your guys top 20 strongest characters

Waiting for chapter 49 "Magician" before my final say. After the top 10 I have very little confidence but right now it's probably;
  1. Reinhard van Astrea
  2. Satella
  3. Reid Astrea
  4. Ram
  5. Volcanica
  6. Regulus Corneas
  7. Sekhmet
  8. Also Volcanica. Hard to say.
  9. Yorna at her tippy-toppy peak
  10. Cecilus Segmunt
  11. Halibel
  12. Probably Vague Adgard tbh
  13. Clind
  14. Puck
  15. Typhon
  16. Daphne
  17. Emilia at her tippy-toppy peak
  18. Echidna/Sphinx
  19. Roswaal L. Mathers
  20. Marcos Gildark

Full Power Volcanica is comparable to Reid Astrea as far as i know, and can even compete against Reinhard while he uses the Dragon Sword Reid. Should be above Ram imo.

Yorna at her peak is probably weaker than Cecilus using his top two swords. Also Roswaal believes he didn't surpass Echidna but it's his way of seeing her like that rather than the truth imo.

Not sure what you consider Emilia as her tippy-toppy peak, while being uncontrollable or something?

My opinions at least :d

What about Hector and Eugard

Volcanica also got beaten to a pulp by Sekhmet, and apparantly the Dragon Sword is an extremely hard counter to Volcanica, which is pretty funny.

Was pretty sure Cecilus used Murasame & Masayume in Sword Identity and still couldn't kill Yorna, but Yorna definitely can't hit Cecilus normally unless she uses Chaosflame as a nuke.

I was convinced by Clind and Roswaal together thinking Echidna was the greatest in history but I wouldn't be opposed to people thinking Roswaal's stronger. They're the Sukuna and Gojo of magic.

Emilia's uncontrollable power from volume 14 and Bond of Ice yeah. It's a threat to the world. Backed up by the new birthday Two Witches story having Echidna claim if they swapped bodies, Echidna would probably destroy the world.

What about Hector and Eugard
Hektor can be around 9th I suppose. Eugard is like somewhere from 13th to 17th.

Roswaal is absurdly interesting in how despite trying to abandon his humanity, he's among the most human characters. His powerset is also cool with both martial arts and magic. Working on his intelligence justification is maybe the most daunting task I have right now.

Volcanica and Sekhmet is a case of compatibility imo, Volcanica still defeated her as well.

Also giving Reinhard a hard fight while he uses the sword should be enough as a feat

Clind thinks Roswaal is superior. Same as the author as he calls him the greatest of all time in Q&A.

It's just Roswaal who thinks Echidna is greater (He's not rational)

Where does clind think that sorry

Sekhmet's Authority is just Strong Impact, and Volcanica did not defeat her. She fell to her death while still raining destruction upon Volcanica. If you get beat up, and then your attacker falls off a roof, did you win? Are you stronger?

And surely Volcanica has bad compatibility against Reinhard when the Dragon Sword just negates both its physical and magical defenses, right?

I also didn't see a quote in chapter 48 where Clind thinks Roswaal is the greatest. He adores Roswaal for having the talent to reach such heights without being a chosen one who doesn't struggle to improve.
