This new calc of Sandman is an upgrade from the old one, from 0.476879 Tons of TNT to 1.7 Tons of TNT (low end) or 9.8 Tons of TNT (mid end). This affects Raimi Spider-Man, his two alternate selves, Super Soldier-tier characters, etc.

The low end is consistent with Shuri withstanding the explosion of the Royal Talon Fighter and the sonic cannon statement, plus Dehydrated Namor would still be scaling significantly above Super Soldier-tier characters

To quote @Dinobot1996 and @Mr._Bambu respectively:

I'm pretty sure this would have had to have been done after Sandman was washed away by water in the subway and hadn't yet pulled his physical form back together, so he should easily scale above this feat in his regular state. (Both low-end and mid-end results of the calc are high enough in their respective tiers that Sandman should be able to upscale to baseline of the next tier, considering that would be less than a x1.2 increase regardless of which of those two ends is more accurate)

I would say leave this as a possibly, as it is not clear whether these are localized instances around the subway system or not.

So while Sandman does upscale from the feat, the affected characters (including him) would only get a possibly rating from it, unless we can argue hard enough for a full upgrade

Base Spider-Man is capable of casually putting holes on Base Sandman's body with his punches & web shots, while Sandman can take the force of his own punches.



Later on, Base Sandman's capable of taking hits (Punches & kicks) from a bloodlusted Black Suit Spider-Man without having holes made to his body other than surface level damage, he can still take the force of his own strikes (Headbutts, punches & kicks).



Would this make Base Sandman's Durability variable?

Yeah I don't know if this is correct, the newspaper clearly states "throughout the subway system", not "all of New York City". Majority of it is concentrated within Manhattan. I disagree with this calc and still approve of Aguywhodoesthings' version for this reason.

Not to mention that "all of New York" exceeds where the subways are actually available. It should've been limited only to the specific areas where the subway systems are present, not the rest of the city.
