So, let's say we have a character capable of using some sort of power that freezes magic.
This character is capable of then using a move that instead of just freezing magic completely smashes through the magic instead of merely freezing it.
Later in the series this "character" is capable of not just freezing or destroying the magic, can also cut through all the byproducts of the magic, such as heat, force, sound, etc.
