Question regarding throwing objects

Do we consider the speed of the object being thrown to be the same speed the character fight?

It can be only attack speed if reasonably assumed to be higher than their combat speed.

We did this for OPM at one point. With some physics stuff along the lines of "if you can throw something or move something this fast, you should be able to move this fast yourself", but I don't remember the reasoning for that part.

It's the opposite, actually. "If you can move at X speed, does this means you can fight at this speed?"

HOLY ******* NECRO I THOUGHT M3X WAS FINALLY OUT OF RETIREMENT SEEING THIS THREAD IN RECENTS AND NOW MY HEART IS SHATTERED

throwing speed should also be relative to attack speed . But slower than physical combatspeed.
Now I’m confused. You first said that throwing speed is faster than physical combat speed, but now you’re saying throwing speed is slower?

DontTalkDT said no to scaling throwing speed to anything, period.

"I wouldn't scale throwing speed to any other speed. Fundamentally it's a feat of accelerating another object, which is more so a strength thing, and we don't scale strength to speed even if there is a physical relationship.
(and since even real life humans can throw/shoot things faster than they can run, most authors probably don't consider a relationship anyway)"

I mean, ya you are throwing something using your strength, has nothing to do with your combat speed.

What about throwing objects at infinite speed? FTL speed? Immeasurable speed? I would consider that there will be a relationship then.
