Question on Lightning and Caius's Stamina.

Lightning and Caius are stated to be in an eternal fight. Would that not suggest that both their stamina output should be near infinite if not infinite? I know it says superhuman+, but I guess I'm also confused at what superhuman stamina could be cause it sounds very underwhelming.

The only time we ever saw her knocked unconscious was when saw the vision of serah dying and Caius disappearing only to pop behind her and strike her from the back.
